PATRIK GALLINEAUX
BIO
Patrik Gallineaux is a New York native who marked his first stage performance
exactly thirty years ago. He began his training at his family’s dance studio
Dance Arts, still open to this day, and continued his studies through college
level in NY and London, England with a BFA in Musical Theatre Dance.
Patrik has shimmied in shows on cruise ships and theme parks, high-kicked in
regional musical theatre productions and tours, and taught ballroom, latin, jazz,
and tap across the country. As a producer and director, Patrik most recently
co-presented the world's first fabulous spinoff of the hit series "Dancing with
the Stars" called "Dancing with the Drag Stars" at Cheryl Burke Dance SF,
featuring Donna Sachet, Cheryl Burke, Steve Wozniak, Jan Wahl, 92.7's Greg
and Fernando, Bruce Vilanch, Bebe Sweetbriar, Sister Roma, Cheryl Burke,
and San Francisco's most shining stars of the ballroom and drag/alternative
performance universe.
Patrik’s favorite stage experiences to date include the role of Riff in Garland
Summer Musical’s Equity production of “West Side Story”, as well as a stint
as dance captain for the Texas regional premiere of “Victor, Victoria”. He has
most recently been seen in the Ray of Light Theatre’s production of
“Seussical, The Musical” in SF and can be seen in the nationwide release of
the film “24 Hours on Craigslist.” Watch for Patrik as roving reporter for "On
the Street with TobyGo" at www.tobygo.com, as emcee for events including
California Dreaming, the largest same-sex ballroom competition in North
America, and currently as choreographer for San Francisco's December
production of "Cinderella" with the African-American Shakespeare Company.
Patrik is thrilled to now call San Francisco home and can be found teaching
and performing throughout the Bay Area, frequently at Cheryl Burke Dance
here in SF. Patrik teaches American style Ballroom and Rhythm/Swing,
socially and for show/competition, and specializes in choreographing and
teaching couples how to dance for their wedding day, from the most traditional
waltz to the most outrageous surprise presentation.
